Course Summary: ============= Microdermabrasion is a minimally invasive procedure used to renew overall skin tone and texture. It can improve the appearance of sun damage, wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, acne scarring and other skin related concerns. The procedure uses a special applicator with an abrasive surface to gently sand away the thick outer layer of the skin to rejuvenate it. Our Microdermabrasion course will teach you everything you need to know to allow you to offer this service to your clients. You will be taught this popular technique which will allow you to accurately perform the procedure. Course Duration: ============ The duration of our Microdermabrasion course is 1 day and will be held in our Benfleet clinic. Course Fees: ========= Our Microdermabrasion course is £199.00. A deposit of 25% is payable at time of booking, the balance is then to be paid no later than 7 days prior to the course date. This price includes your own training manual to take away with you. On successful completion of the course will receive a fully accredited certificate. Accreditation: =========== This course is fully accredited with ABT. Course Structure: ============= This course will begin at 10:00am. You should aim to arrive to the salon for 9:45am where possible to prepare for the day. From 10am until lunch you will cover microdermabrasion theory including: • Health and safety • Code of practice for hygiene in beauty salons • Sterilisation and disinfecting • The appearance of the therapist • Ergonomics • About Microdermabrasion • Consultation process • Benefits of Microdermabrasion • Sanitation • Skin, ageing and turning back time You will then have a break for lunch. There is a fridge and a kettle in the salon that are available to use, and various shops on the high street to be able to purchase refreshments. From 1:30pm until the end of the day, usually around 4:00pm, you will be able to practise on live models. We reccommend to arrange 1 model, arriving at 1:30pm. Models can be arranged for you with enough notice. Models: ===== We recommend for you to arrange your own model for this course. Models may be provided for you for the duration of your course however this is not a guarantee.
